Worlds @Takapuna: Day 4, Report by Bob Griffits

Report by Bob Griffits
Day 4: A Class Catamaran World Championships.
"Glenn Ashby continues to dominate the A Class Catamaran World Championship, here in Takapuna, New Zealand. After 8 races, he remains firmly in control, and looks destined for his eighth A Class World Championship, a truly amazing feat, particularly considering he has left three fellow Olympic Silver Medallist’s lining up immediately behind him, and a gold medallist I little further back.

Worlds @Takapuna: Day 4, Ahsby leads , 1 Race to go

Short review, more info later. Glenn Ahsby still in command but nothing is granted for him. There is no more discard and tomorrow he must confirm his doninance. TNZ Blair Tuke 15 points behind , Andrew Landenberger is the first exponent of the Arquimedean mode in 3rd place.

Another good day for Brad Collet and Scott Anderson, both floating style too.

Friday is reserve day at Takapuna 2014 Worlds. 6 Races completed and 3 to go, 2 on Saturday and the Final on Sunday. A discard is already in place and there will no additionals until the end of the event. That means that Ashby and TNZ squad must take care not to score high to aim for the title.

AGM Minutes will published as soon as they are available.
We will have an interview with the President after the event.

Worlds @Takapuna: Day 2 Burling, Landy & Anderson lead

Excellent report by Bob Griffits. Great to see the 'old' guard, Andrew Landenberger and Scott Anderson, maintaining their top 3 with last year standard equipment against the new talented Youths, yesterday in 5-10 knots and today in 18knots breeze. Great championship so far. Also read below some commments from Bob regarding the AGM meeting.
