Australian Nats 2014: Glenn Ashby Champ

Glenn Ashby grabs the Australian Nats after a long break from the Class while sailing with Team New Zealand in the Americas Cup Campaign. It was not an easy run though, 2011 World & current European champ Steve Brewin put on a one to one fight for the title confirming he is a top contender for Takapuna.
Steve Brayshaw and Jack Benson were quite consistent too, and went attacking the pair of champs for the top 3 spots on the final races.

Glenn Ashby leads Australian International A Class Catamaran National Titles.

"After an hiatus of two years due his Team New Zealand America's Cup commitments, Glenn Ashby has returned to sail in A Class Catamarans. After six races, he leads the Australian National Championship, by one point, from Steve Brewin, his perennial sparing partner.

Australian Nats 2014: Day 1

Results from Day 1. Usual suspects leading: Ashby & Brewin with a Bullet each, holding 1st and 2nd overall. 3rd for Jack Benson. Excellent news having Dario Valenza's Paradox racing in the front fleet with Thomas Stuchbery besides some some trap/capsize issues, a good preparation for Takapuna. 2013, Year in Review

The 2013 Season will officaly end fter NZ Worlds in February 2014.
During this period we did not made too much emphasis on the new developments in the Class official website, but we duly informed and clarified the rules addressing possible changes that aimed for As to use similar L foils as those used in the latest ACup. We also provided different views on the matter from experienced sailors.

With the Worlds coming and the season ending, it is the right time to address current Flying times in the sailing World, specially in the A-Class environment.
