Italian Nationals 2009
Marsala (Sicily):
Paolo Penco dominates the A class National Championship hosted by the Circolo Velico Marsala.
SPANISH NATIONALS 2009
The Spanish Nationals where held in Sanxenxo, Galicia (north of Spain, Atlantic) from the 10 to the 13 of September 2009.
8 races were sailed with winds from 5 to 10 knots and 28 A class fleet were present.
Very light winds the first two days, from 5 to 7 knots and more wind the last day, 8 to 10 knots.
SPANISH CIRCUIT 2009
For the first time the Spanish A Class Association has organized a circuit with the purpose to obtain a Spanish ranking of sailors and the most important, to provide the A Class sailors with 5 big level regattas in order to increase the level of the Spanish fleet and to carry out the promotion of the class.
The circuit was a success with more than 25 boats in each regatta and with good wind in all the events with 33 races sailed. The ranking has more than 50 sailors.

Danish Nationals results
On the 26th and 27th of september the Danish A-Class Nationals were sailed as a part of a big danish dinghy regatta called the "Harboe Cup".
Awesome Open German on Lake Garda
The Open German Championship 2009 was an awesome event
63 boats, 9 races in three days, winds 18 to 25 knts !
The famous Lake Garda conditions only leaves one question :

Hydrofoil ballot new rule is approved

please find here the final result of the ballot on the proposal of amendments of the ISAF A-Division Catamaran Rules, better known as "hydrofoils rule".
Votes have been collected by the Returning Officer, Pieterjan Dwarshuis. I’ve matched all data with the members lists sent by all National Associations.
Bob Baier (GER) wins Europeans 2009

after a close fight in race 6 & 7 Bob Baier just managed to stay 1 point ahead of Steve Brewin (AUS )
Sascha Wallmer ( SUI) secured 3rd place .
