Mischa had a hand injury yesterday and raced with some stiches. Brewin comes from a tough back injury while sailing F18 last year. So it is a really good comeback.

Manuel Calavia was crowned Spanish Nat Champ this weekend at Barcelona. Event held together with the Spanish Catamaran Championship. Report by Manuel:
"Friday we did four races with 8-12knots , I scored 4 bullets followed by Gustavo Doreste.
Saturday started with a strong storm but clearing in the afternoon to race three more where I had with two more bullets and one for Doreste that had a hardware failure in the first one.

The D3 is the latest boat to be launched this 2013 season. The idea for the team, that includes top level sailors like Ben Moon and Steve Brayshaw is to test debut at Barcelona Europeans, but surely targeting to peak at NZ Worlds in early 2014. More info on the D3 at http://www.d3-a-cat.com

50 boats gathered at Yacth Clu Rheindelta for really efficient initiative from the Ger, Sui & Aut A-Class Associations. Sascha Wallmer took the overall Championship crown followed by Thilo Keller as first German and 3rd overall for Mathias Dietz (GER).

Danish Nationals 2013 - Sadly not much wind for the Danish sailors but they could complete 4 races in calm conditions. Report sent by Steffen Bay.
"The city of Kerteminde is the host of the large dinghy event Sail Extreme. The Dannish A-cat class decided to organize it's class championship here. Eight A-cat sailors participated and had a total of four races, two on Saturday and two on Sunday.

In 2012 one of the most talented event took place at the Australian A-Class Nationals.
Darren Bundock, Glenn Ashby, Tom Slingby, Nathan Outteridge & Jimmy Spithill were part of the fleet among other talented sailors. Denis Lucci was on the right spot when shooting this. There is a sequence of a pretty long flight downwind too. Reports of the DNA stable flight were circulating but no pic or video were available.
At the 2013 French Nats Bob Baier won with Nils Bunkenburg's Nikita, an already legendary and still winning design after more of 10 years of being launched in 2001.

Mischa on the DNA was 6th overall and Denis Lucci got these images of a production legal A-Class on a stable foiling.
