HYDROFOIL BALLOT

Dear A class sailors worldwide ,

As many of you already noticed last season, a lot of discussion has going on about the 'curved boards' issue and the the hydrofoil rule in general .

During the World General Meeting at the Belmont A Class Worlds in January, the decision made was that the Hydrofoils Comission is in charge to provide the exact wording of a rule for a CLASS BALLOT according to our Constitution, Point 11.

A class Worldchampionship 2009 Preview

Right after Christmas, action is about to start at Belmont sailing club, Lake Mc Quarie, NSW, 2 hrs north of Sydney.
28-31 December the Australian Nationals are planned as a tune- up -series, 2-9 January the Worlds are scheduled.
Lake Mc Quarie is a well known location for championships.
Steady breezes between 8 and 15 knts are regular, combined with flat waters .
Ideal circumstances fort the lightweight high competitive A class catamarans .

2011 worlds proposals

Dear A class sailors worldwide,
please find herewith enclosed copies of the applications of Denmark and Germany for the 2011 Worlds.

We have two good proposals, with a very attractive program and in two wonderful sailing areas.

These applications will be voted at the WGM 2009 in Belmont, Australia.
Every national class association can bring out her vote there by its chariman or delegate .

Hi to all a class sailors worldwide .

The new website is on line as you see. Its far from final yet, we are working on it .
it will be soon on the official domain www.a-cat.org
The site is build with a very user freindly content management system, so several webmasters all over the world, to be appointed by the IACA we be able to upload articles .
