"Last weekend we held the first regatta of the Spanish A Class Circuit in La Manga del Mar Menor, the place where the Europeans 2007 were held.
My main goal with this regatta wat to test the new DNA dagger boards against other boats with normal curved boards. Some Dutch guys came to this event.

Raphael wanted to have his own Cat and he chose the A-Cat for his home built. If a Class can encourage young kids to build their own boats, it is on the right path.
Raphael built his custom Carbon A-Cat and now he is trying to make it Fly within the rules.
We made an interview for him to tell about his building experience and his future projects.
He was inspired by others and now he will be an inspiration for many to join the class with their own home builts.

The Class has adopted the Winglets as a defacto production feature. I contacted 'Winglet Guru' Andrew Landenberger to tell us how he ended using them & Gonzalo Redondo from D3 Applied Technologies for some tech data.
Latest boats offering factory Winglets are: Andy Scheurer G6, DNA, new Addiction A, new Exploder A, Bimare Zero, new D3 and I'm sure I'm missing some.

Impressive Midwinters win for Ben with 9 bullets out of nine races. The Class in the US continues to gather big numbers as shown at Isla Morada Worlds. Ben will be for sure a menace at the 2013 Europeans. No pics from the event available. Only report by Bob Hodges at Sailing Anarchy - Note that Bob says "Scheurer G6" but he is confused I guess, Ben will race the 'D3' at Barcelona. Yet another exhibition with A-Class Catamarans.

In Denmark we have the "Boat Show", where the Danish A-Class Association is displaying the Class.
The dates are 22nd - 24th of february and the 1st to 3rd of march.

The Italian Association Catamarans A class, is present at the” Big Blu - Boat Show and the Sea”, Italian Nautic exhibition in Rome, 17-24 of
February.
The Class exposes the inside of the stand of the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV)
