US National Offshore One Design series, 2017
The St Pete NOODs run by Sailing World publications has grown for the A-Class over the years, reports USACA head Bailey White. The NOODs stands for National Offshore One Design series and has now become a nine city series across the USA that has shifted towards smaller boats as has much of competitive sailboat racing.
The A-Class had the largest fleet at St Pete NOODs this year with 38 boats registered and 32 racing. The weather did not cooperate, with only two races completed in three days of sailing, both with significant chop and some big holes as the breeze decreased on both races.
As per our regular practice, we awarded prizes in both classic and foiling fleets.
