Tymoteusz Bendyk wins the Polish season opening race at Sopot.
At the 2017 Worlds venue in Sopot, on the Baltic coats in Poland, Exploder's home stadium, the new AD3 is showing it's class.
Polish Ace, Jacek Noetzel, gives us a quick report.
End of April – beginning of May is traditionally beginning of racing season in Sopot. This year, 28 catamarans in various classes participated in the event. Sunny weather, light wind made all sailors enjoy racing. In the A-class, new Exploder AD3 proved to be great boat foiling in 8 knots of wind. The first place went to Tymoteusz Bendyk on Exploder AD3 and Bryt Sails, second was the light wind specialist Marcin Badzio on a Scheurer, and third place went to Jacek Noetzel on his Exploder AD3. It was interesting to see new sail maker on A-class scene. Bryt Sails is a well established company, very experienced in iceboat sails. Hopefully, knowledge and experience in high speed boats will work for the flying a-class as well.
