The new DNA arrives.

Finally, the beast has emerged into the daylight, eyes blinking, to stretch it's legs and show you what it is made of!  The 2016 DNA has finally been revealed to the World at last, just in time for the new season, and for the hotshots to ride at the Worlds in June.

Not too many details yet.  Holland Composites planned to make new DNA moulds after the exisiting ones started to wear out, and the opportunity to give the boat a facelift proved too much of a temptation.  The hull below the waterline is virtually the same as the old DNA, but with slightly more rocker and a slightly altered stern, designed to improve its light wind performance if anything.  The topsides were altered about, with beams being moved a little as a result of experience and to optimise the design, plus some of the deck layout has been improved and has the, now standard, double skinned trampoline for drag reduction.

Also, from the techniques learned in producing the Gunboat, and the autoclave facilities they now have built as a result, Holland Composites hope to be able to increase their production rate and thus reduce costs.

We all can't wait to see it in anger!  Check out the upwind foiling video here.
