A-Class Argentina: First Regatta

The first informal regatta was organzined in Buenos Aires. Sergio Mehl finsihed in first place followed by Julio Saubidet and Ian Rodger. 23knots on Friday didn´t allowed any races, same on Saturday with 4knots.On Sunday 3 races were completed with foiling conditions downwind in the first two regattas held in mid range winds.

The regatta was held along the Arg F18 Nats, thus some crews sailing both classes couldn´t participate. A  local A-Cat  association will be formed next year looking forward to Medemblik Worlds 2016. Local catsailing scene will be focused mainly on next F18 Worlds in Buenos Aires to be held October 28-Nov 4. After this event the As will gather better momentum to establish a local circuit of A-Class regattas.
