Punta Ala Worlds 2015: Day 1, Ashby & Heemskerk lead after 2 races

All Images MV / Catsailingnews.com - 173 boats for an historical event for the A-Class at Punta Ala. A perfect venue that today provided excellent racing conditions with mixed wind range from calm to a good medium breeze.

Mischa Heemskerk & Glenn Ashby won 2 races respectively in those two different wind range, showing how versatile their skills have become. In the lighter breeze they broke away from the fleet when a little more breeze came in, not much, maybe an additional 1-2 knots to reach a 6-7 which was enough for them to start foiling downwind and get a good gap from the lead pack.

Manuel Calavia, Jacek Noetzel, Sacha Wallmer , Jason Waterhouse, Scott Anderson, Steve Brewin, Helmut Stumhoffer & Sam Newton complete the top ten.
