Dutch Nats 2015: Mischa Heemskerk dominated Day 2

Dutch Nats 2015. Second day of racing at Hellecat where five races were held in perfect 9-11knots. Mischa Heemskerk scored an impressive nr of bullets in same nr of races, five wins over Glenn Ashby who finished 2nd in each one.

Great performance by Mischa sailing his new sail/rig (check image below) setup that is also being used by Roland Wentholt & PJ Dwarshuis who also had good results today with more breeze. 

The three of them had average scores yesterday in calm winds, but the story was different today, giving signs this rig alternative is efficient in the mid range.

 A similar solution was used by Heemskerk & Pete Melvin in the past , but we haven´t seen again until these 2015 Dutch Nats.

After the racing local sailors had their annual meeting and the Dutch Class voted on keeping Rule 8 after the bid made by US and backed by Can & Uk. The Class official  AGM will be held at Punta Ala and assoc votes will define if any change is made to current IACA rules. 

The bid should only be passed with a 2/3rd voting support.
