It seems Sandro learned fast from Sascha Wallmer. As reported some weeks ago, Sandro told us that Sascha was 'sailing around him in circles' in the trainings being done with the new Scheurer G7s.

Wallmer won the Italian event 2 weeks ago and ended second this time at the Swiss Nats behind Caviezel.
3rd place for Helmut Stumhoffer, 4th for Daniel Caviezel and 5th for Mathias Dietz.

Interesting comments by Sandro Caviezel on the his races at Italy and what he changed to win the 2014 Swiss Nats this weekend:
"I struggled in Italy especially because of some really bad starts in the light stuff. There aren’t much possibilities to make a good result after you are in the deep 20s at the top mark in those conditions.

Sascha did extremely good downwind in the light winds (and he did good starts too of course) – I think he started flying before anybody else and if you try the downwind flying in the light stuff, and you don’t get the boat leveled out of the water, you’re just sailing beam reach and you’re losing so much….

On the other hand we had really strong wind with short and high waves too in Italy and in these conditions I struggled again because I forced the downwind flying too much and did a lot of crashes.
Daniel did extremely good in the stronger winds downwind and I just copied his technique and now we were skimming-flying again quite stable in a breeze up to and over 22 knots. So I had a little speed advantage over Helmut and Sascha Downwind in the stronger winds because I was pushing a little harder.
But in mid-range conditions we did some really close races with a lot of lead changes – It was just awesome!

Pics pending.
