Spring Championship @Circolo Vela Arco: Heemskerk 1st

This weekend the Class had two great events organized in parallel by the French & the Italian Association, along the hosting clubs: Cercle Nautique La Baule & Circolo Vela Arco http://www.circolovelaarco.com/

The Spring Cup at Arco saw 40 boats racing at Garda. Mischa Heemskerk dominated with 6 bullets out of 7 races on his Dna.
But it was not that easy for the new foilers to manage the races in Garda chop.
Luca Maffessoli ended 2nd overall and Thilo Keller 3rd. Both with standard C boards (Exploder & Arrow MKII) , positioning themselves ahead of other foiling equipped As.

In high winds and chop the new foiling mode is not that efficient yet beyond the experience of Mischa Heemskerk.
Although the Class is seeing a transition, still good sailing skills are a must, as demonstrated by Luca & Thilo.
