SPANISH CIRCUIT 2009

For the first time the Spanish A Class Association has organized a circuit with the purpose to obtain a Spanish ranking of sailors and the most important, to provide the A Class sailors with 5 big level regattas in order to increase the level of the Spanish fleet and to carry out the promotion of the class.

The circuit was a success with more than 25 boats in each regatta and with good wind in all the events with 33 races sailed. The ranking has more than 50 sailors.

The final Ranking has been:

1.- Manuel Calavia 179 points
2.- Abdón Ibañez 143 points
3.- José López 139 points
4.- Juanjo Sola 130 points
5.- Kike Cornejo 126 points
6.- Miki Todd 105 points

These sailors will be the spanish team to race next year at Worlds in Cecenatico

We are now preparing the venues for the next season and with the purpose to have 7 events.

The CAR of Murcia, Barcelona, Valencia, Pobla Marina (North of Valencia), Castelldefels (Sud of Barcelona) and other yacht club from La Manga del Mar Menor (Murcia) has confirmed the events and we are on negotiations with the last venue.
