Extra Ordinary World General Meeting to decide 2015 Worlds venue

Dear A cat sailors,
Please be aware that the following letter has been sent to "our" list of current class presidents. The IACA committee and I have decide we need to call an extra ordinary World General Meeting in order to vote on the 2015 World Championship venue. It is up to each nation to vote through your class President. This is the first time to my knowledge that we have done this via email so I ask everyone to make sure that the massage is passed on to all class presidents and sailors in the case of our records not being up to date. It is an important decision for both Poland, Italy and the UK so I would like the voting process to run as smoothly as possible.

Thank you.
Andrew Landenberger , IACA President.

------------
Dear Presidents,
IACA committee and I have agreed that we need to run an extra ordinary WGM as soon as possible, solely to vote on the venue for the for the 2015 World Championships. We feel that waiting until the NZ worlds does not allow enough time for the potential organisers to prepare properly.

At this point we have bids from the UK and Poland. Until this point there has been no indication from any other country so unless another nation comes forward immediately we should consider the bids closed.
(Edit: Italy has put down a proposal for Punta Ala, see presentation link below)

Under the IACA constitution we need to give 6 weeks notice for an Extra ordinary WGM. Given we have only one issue on the table The meeting date will be the 21st September. This will be the closing day for Presidents to email their Vote. That now gives 6 weeks for you to consult your members of their preferred choice.

Information of both bids is on the class website.

As we are doing this for the first time over email, we rely on everyone helping pass on the information. It is quite possible all of our email contacts are not up to date, so some National presidents may not get this information. We will post this on the website as well, so I hope all will help to see that the information is passed on accordingly to each National president.

Please send your responses to both Piet Saarberg and Myself.
