Europeans 2013 @Barcelona: Day 3, Steve Brewin leading after 6 Races

Top 12 below, Full Results after 6 Races at http://www.vela.cat/bisc/ClassA/130625_clas_PROV_5i6.pdf

After two days of nice breeze 6-8 knots for today and no trapeze downwind. Steve Brewin still in first place ten points ahead Andrew Landenberger, and 12 of Mischa Heemskerk. Jacek Noetzel also in the fight in 4th place.

Tomorrow is Rest day for the fleet, after 6 races completed.

Some tough high results today for the top 10, it seems many got stuck in the 92 boat fleet. Local hope Manuel Calavia is the hidden candidate with 4, 1, 1 & 6 as only vallid scores and a BFD plus a DNS , he could discard one of them today, and hopefully at the end of the event he will keep the pace to fight for the title with another discard.

4 Different plarforms in the top 4 positions, marking an excellent proof once again, on how the Class rules are working as intended beyond some already legal flying boats.

Tomorrow we'll try to get some addtional reports from the sailors on their lay day, although Piet Saarberg has been making some excellent daily reports at his Vision A-Class website http://www.catamaranparts.nl/news/
