City of Valencia Trophy for Manuel Calavia via 6 bullets.
Report sent by Manuel Calavia -
The A Class Trophy of the City of Valencia was held this past weekend. 15 A-Class sailors were there and we did 6 races with winds from 8 knots to 14 knots. As always Valencia is a fantastic spot to sail.
Saturday we had 3 races in 8 to 14 knots and Sunday 3 more races from 10 to 12 knots.
Manuel Calavia (ESP-11) won each race with more than 200m before the second.
Behind him it was a big fight for rest of the spots for the podium were for Kiko Espi (ESP-100) from Valencia and for Micky Todd (ESP-7) from Murcia. Kike Cornejo (ESP-5) and Toni Ballester (ESP-75) finished 4º and 5º. Only one point was the difference between the 2º and the 5º.
Next race is the Spanish Cup in Barcelona from the 6 to the 9 of June, just two weeks before the Europeans.
All A Class sailors from around the World are invited to come. The boats can be stored in the venue of the Europeans from the 9 of June to the end of the Europeans and the sailors can use the Spanish Cup as a training regatta. You can leave your boat and fly to your home for two weeks and come back for the Europeans.
