IACA Measurers Guidelines Updated

Dear Members, This Guide has been prepared by Graeme Harbour as Chairman of the Technical Committee with the assistance of Thomas Paasch from the Committee. The Guide is specifically aimed at measurers to assists them in consistently carrying out A class Measurement, however since it is the responsibility of individual sailors that their boat and equipment is class legal I recommend that all A class sailors read and understand this document along with the class rules. This guide stands alone form the class rules and does not cover every possibility, however it does a very good job to explain how the Rules are to be interpreted. In short, it is tool to assist sailors and measurers to understand and meet the restrictions placed on boats and equipment by the International A class Catamaran Class Rules.

I would like to extend my thanks to Graeme and Thomas for all their hard work to prepare this document.

Kind regards,

Andrew Landenberger
IACA President
