AFCCA / Toulon (FRA) awarded the Worlds Championships in 2021
The AFCCA (French A-Cat Association) and Yacht Club de Toulon have submitted a bid to host the A-Cat Championships (open & classics) in Toulon (south France), in September 2021. The French candidature has been presented during the WGM in Hervey Bay, and has received a warm support from the presidents and representatives. After reviewing the bid, the IACA Committee - as for Championships Rule ยง1.1 - has awarded them the organization of the Worlds 2021.
France is one of our largest national association with many sailors in the classics discipline. After the success of the new format (2 disciplines, 2 races areas) in Hervey Bay, the IACA Committee select venues able to run two race areas and host the two large fleets in the best possible conditions. We would like to thank the French team for their excellent work and look forward to sail the warm waters of Mediterranean Sea in Summer 2021.
