Victory in the Sopot Cat Cup, and Michał Korneszczuk reports.
We had 2 good days of racing on 16-17/06 in variable conditions that put to a test differing skills. We started with an 18 strong fleet. Saturday was light with 5-6kn of wind and only in the last race and the last Downwind leg Jacek Noetzel managed to do any foiling. Anyhow winner of the day was Marek Zebrowski who scored 3 bullets with his C foil DNA (Fiberfam mast/North Sails DS1 sail). Marek had some good beats and was always fastest downwind.
Sunday kicked of with 9kn of breeze and was building to 12kn throughout the day. Though being stronger, the wind was patchy and few competitors got stuck in wind holes on various occasions.
This day was ruled by Jacek Noetzel (Exploder AD3/Fiberfoam/Bry Sail) who was definitely fastest downwind and was showing off with nice upwind foiling. He scored 3 bullets on that day.
However the regatta was won Michal Korneszczuk (Exploder AD3/Fiberfoam/North Sails DS2) as managed to have most even results on both days.
