This years European Spring Cup was as usual perfectly organised by Circolo Vela Arco - and the weather decided to be with us this year with racing for all 3 days. Tom Bojland reports.
36 competitors from 10 nations where competing in the typical 8-15 knots of breeze. Due to the northerly course being used by another class, we were further south with slightly less wind, completely flat water and with more tactical decisions to make.
The DNA team showed up with the new boat and during the regatta Mischa tuned his boards under supervision of his little helper (Glenn Ashby). Glenn was on the water the first day as well, to do some tests to for prepare for the Europeans in July. But the Swiss team, headed by Sandro Caviezel, had a strong start of the series whereas Mischa was struggling with the setup. And Sandro's lead was enough the take total victory.
Emanuel Dode and Robert Graczyk had a battle for third position with Emanuel emerging the best. 6 nations on top 10 shows a truly international event and the dates for next years event will be available soon. Full results here -
