Champagne training continues on the bath-warm Mar Menor lagoon waters.  Many sailors took to the course for training and practice, and a practice top gate was again set up.  This was made use of by the random flocks of A-Cats that seemed to coalesce, rather in the manner of starlings, and sweep about the waters.  The top gate is a new introduction to the big events for a year long trial that also covers the Worlds in November.  Many sailors need to get used to being allowed to leave a top mark to starboard, allowing them to exercise a different and broader tactical model that this configuration opens up.

Again, the DNA lads freaked everyone out with their DN style flexing masts last seen at Puntala in the warm up races.  This is their DN v2.0 mast and sail setup following developments and now with sails specifically cut to suit the new more flexible masts.  We await their analysis, but observations suggest they are pretty fast.
